PATHOLOGY REPORTING, KETTERING 2019

PathReportstd

TalkingPoint invites UK histopathologists and lab managers to attend a special one-day pathology technology event on June 20th in Kettering. CPD CREDITS available to attendees.

Hosted in conjunction with Nuance (creators of Dragon Medical, the world leading speech recognition engine), Pathology Reporting 2019 will showcase how technology can be best used to aid histopathology/cytology/ autopsy reporting for both cut-up and microscopy; resulting in smarter, faster and more ecomomic reporting.

Histopathology reporting is a key part of the working day for both pathologist and BMS. This free-to-attend seminar explores how a number of digital technologies can best be utilised to maximise efficiency and minimise turnaround times, surpassing the high quality demanded by a professional health service.

Presentations include:

  • The use of speech recognition workflow, integrated with LIMS (Malcolm Grant, TalkingPoint)
  • Customer experience, Histopathology/cut-up reporting by speech recognition (Will Davies, Senior Biomedical Scientist - Cellular Pathology, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust)
  • Efficient Minimum Dataset reporting for COSD (Dr Fred Mayall, Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust)
  • The role of digital pathology (Tim Wing, General Manager - Digital Pathology, Inspirata Europe Ltd)

TalkingPoint has implemented Histopathology workflow at more than 25 NHS Trusts, integrated with numerous LIMS systems.

Primary benefits include:

  • Easier reporting – hands-free for both cut-up and microscopy - including fluid dictation, structured reporting, intuitive SNOMED dictation and fully automated block recording and standard reports.
  • Faster reporting – complete removal of the dictation/transcription process ensures minimised report turnaround, reduced cost and improved patient pathway timescales.
  • Improved reporting - instant full visibility of reports whilst dictating, with structured entry, improved content and consistency.
