Quick and Easy Hands-free Use 

TalkingPoint's unique voice interface uses a few, easy to remember, voice commands, to achieve 100% hands-free reporting.  To complete the picture, integrated PACS images can be manipulated by voice while reporting (e.g. reversing and zooming in) without reaching for the mouse.  Focus is automatically switched between report and image as needed.

Foot-pedals provide simple microphone control to complete an ergonomic and productive user interface.  The voice system is activated when a pedal is depressed and switched off when it is released, delivering a truly intuitive hands-free "press to talk" interface.

Exceptional Accuracy - right from the Start

TalkingPoint for Radiology combines TalkingPoint's tried and tested British-English Radiology Vocabulary with the highly acclaimed Dragon Version 8 speech engine.  It delivers exceptional accuracy from the moment the system is installed.  To further minimise the few mistakes it makes, TalkingPoint constantly adapts to both the context and acoustics of each author's individualistic reporting style to deliver stunning accuracy.

Freedom of Mobility

TalkingPoint's automated networking enables the entire Radiology Department to move freely between workstations.  When an author signs on to windows, the latest version of his/her VoiceFile and personal settings are automatically made available to start work on that PC.  Just click the TalkingPoint Icon and start dictating reports.  No additional log-ons are required.

When the author signs off, his/her VoiceFiles and settings are moved back to the network for safe storage and portability.  File integrity checking ensures that any file damage is promptly detected and reported.

Direct Reporting and Batch Transcription - the Best of both Worlds

To complete the picture for radiological procedures not best suited to immediate on-screen reporting (e.g. MRI Scans or one-stop breast clinic), TalkingPoint fully supports mobile dictation.  Reports can be dictated in the traditional manner into mobile recorders away from any PCs.

Downloaded reports are automatically batch-converted to text and presented for correction in a fully managed environment designed for easy secretarial use.

Digital Dictation

While Speech Recognition delivers the maximum possible benefits to radiology departments, TalkingPoint also supports digital dictation to complete the picture.

TalkingPoint's digital dictation is simple no-fuss recording and audio-typing without tapes.   It is very low-cost, easy to use and can be up and running within minutes of installation.

Those not ready or able to install speech recognition today, can at least discard magnetic tapes and go digital, safe in the knowledge that everything they use from the TalkingPoint Range will be upwards-compatible to a future speech recognition implementation.
