02.04.12 TalkingPoint business round up

TalkingPoint goes from strength to strength

TalkingPoint, GHG Software Development’s specialist VR workflow system was implemented by nine acute NHS Trusts in the first quarter of 2012.  East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neuroscience, Birmingham Women's NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Whipps Cross University Hospitals NHS Trust, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust  have all ordered TalkingPoint solutions.

Malcolm Grant, Managing Director said: “Many additional TalkingPoint solutions are also being implemented within our existing client base in areas such as Occupational Health, Human Resources, IVF clinics, community orthopaedic services, haematology clinics, digital mammography and other specialist areas.”

Developments in the quality and functionality of the TalkingPoint Radiology and Pathology solutions are providing improved usability for clients and driving demand for this popular VR workflow solution.  For example, single command (e.g. "get normal liver") activation of a TalkingPoint script for rapid reports, together with faster voice-enabled SNOMED reporting and easier insertion of photographs, help to enhance the Histopathologists reporting process.

GHG Software is also currently conducting pilot trials in a number of Trusts using the TalkingPoint "clinic letters by voice" system. Jim Robinson, GHG Sales Director commented “ We fully anticipate our clinic letters by voice system to deliver the same cost and time savings demonstrated by TalkingPoint's Radiology, Pathology and GP systems. This will ultimately enable the removal of the labour-intensive traditional transcription process.”

Whilst the majority of GHG Software’s business has evolved within the healthcare market place, GHG also operates in the special needs market. “We now have TalkingPoint implementations in more than 50% of all London Borough Councils, and our largest individual customer, the Metropolitan Police Service, now has almost 100 TalkingPoint (MetTalk) users” commented Jim Robinson.
